My interest in my surroundings is focused on the way practical decisions serve as the ground upon which the environment is mostly organized, free of any intention for pathos or idealization. In the photographic activity, there is no search for decisive moment, nor for drama. There is no intervention by me, nor drastic photographic treatment. There is no attempt to create a narrative of the wanderer. My photographic activity does not aim to criticizing the aesthetic or conceptual values of my living environment, but rather to testify on its practices, and by that to formulate a photographic statement of the local aesthetic conventions that govern daily life and its surroundings. Through the photographic activity I try to create a direct still life, eye-to-eye gaze into the daily objects and into the local plastic code, and by that I ask to extract the essence of my surroundings, without any feeling of compassion or mercy.
